We're David and Andrea Scade, creators of Black Diamond Distillery, the first ever craft distillery in St. Albert, AB. Our small local business is family owned and operated so we'll be the faces to look for at the shop or when we're setup at local markets - follow us on social media (links below) to learn about new products and projects we’re busy working on just for you!
OUR VISION
Using locally sourced ingredients we produce award-winning handcrafted spirits and cocktails, specializing in flavour profiles for tastebuds that love to be tickled by refreshing, natural tasting beverages. Our small batches reflect Alberta’s beautiful landscape by featuring local organically-grown produce (whenever possible) and showcasing seasonal ingredients. We are a true craft distillery, our small batches are proudly 100% mashed + distilled + infused + bottled by us - not a drop of our spirits have been mixed/blended/mass-produced, so you know you’re getting 100% craft spirits in every bottle.
Our commitment to you: QUALITY over QUANTITY. We believe that to wear the mark of ‘craft’ spirits there’s no place for shortcuts, especially when it means compromising on the quality of spirits we provide. Our GUARANTEE: we will NEVER produce and sell a single drop of spirit that was not made by us - we may be a dying breed in the craft industry, but we believe you, the customer, deserve the very best product possible, and that starts with a true craft spirit, made with love.
FUN FACT: every product we’ve ever entered for judging has won medals, something we didn’t really know was a big deal until we were told how proud we should be about it by industry experts. We don’t compromise on quality, and it shows up in our bottles - but don’t take our word for it, come check out our Award Winning spirits for yourself!

If you've ever asked us, "how would you drink this?", then you know we're not fancy cocktail drinkers and work very hard to make sure our delicious line-up can be enjoyed one sip-at-a-time all on their own. We are always excited to find out how YOU are enjoying our spirits and liqueurs...
In case you need a little inspiration, here are a few of our favourite recipes, including some we've collected from other Black Diamond Distillery enthusiasts!

1 1/2 oz Black Diamond Earl Grey Vodka
8oz Ginger Beer
1/2 oz Lime Juice
Pour into copper mug, top with ice
Garnish with lime wedge
1oz Black Diamond Apple Pie Liqueur
3 oz Apple Juice
4 oz White Wine
2 oz Ginger Ale
Pour into a glass with ice
Garnish with apple wedge/frozen apple balls
1oz Black Diamond Cucumber Vodka
1oz Alberta Wild Rose Syrup
1/2oz Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
Pour into glass with ice, top with sparkling water
Garnish with cucumber slice and rose petals
1oz Black Diamond Hot Chilli Vodka
1oz Black Diamond Wheat Vodka
1/2 oz Lime Juice
4 dashes Worcestershire
Salt & Pepper
Top with Clamato Juice over Ice
